Stephen Barnett, SVP/Eurest Services

Stephen Barnett graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1971. He received his Masters Degree in Public Administration, majoring in healthcare management from New York University in 1973.

Upon completing his graduate studies, Steve served as administrative resident at the Albert Einstein Medical Center, a 600+ bed teaching hospital based in Philadelphia; and was soon promoted to Assistant Administrator responsible for the operations of the support service departments, disaster planning, and regulatory compliance.

In 1975 Steve became the administrator of the Township Manor Nursing Home, a 150-bed skilled nursing facility in Jenkintown, PA. In this role, he was responsible for the delivery of all day-to-day operations and care to its residents, maintaining strict regulatory compliance standards, and profit and loss.

In 1977, Steve joined Crothall Hospital Services, a young, but growing, company led by Graeme Crothall, providing support management services (housekeeping and plant maintenance) to the healthcare industry. Steve’s initial role was Regional Manager supporting client accounts in the mid-Atlantic; was later promoted to Regional Vice President; and lastly, as Division President for the eastern states with oversight of 100+ clients and $100M in revenue.

From 1985 until 1995, resulting from a series of industry mergers and acquisitions, Steve served as Division President with Marriott’s Facilities Management division (currently Sodexo), and later as Executive Vice President and COO of Morrison-Crothall Support Services.

In 1996, Steve joined Professional Services, a regional provider of support management services to the healthcare industry, as its Executive Vice President and COO. Under Steve’s leadership, the company grew from its initial base of operations in the New York metropolitan area to thirteen (13) states, and expanded its service offerings to include housekeeping, plant operations and maintenance, clinical engineering, and food service.

In 2007, Professional Services merged with the Crothall Services Group, and Steve accepted the role as Senior Vice President of Eurest Services – a wholly-owned division serving the Business & Industry sector for support management services.

Steve, and his wife Amy, have three children and two grandchildren. They reside in the suburbs of Philadelphia, and Steve is based in our corporate office in Wayne, Pennsylvania.
