Climbing the Crothall
Ladder
For too many hospitals, the
Admission/ Discharge/ Transfer (ADT) process involves
too much manual updating of information, and does
not give nurses the tools they need to quickly and
easily manage bed status and patient throughput
logistics. The "process" most hospitals use consists of
nurses making several phone calls, with increasing
frustration, until beds can be freed up for the next
patient. Some hospitals are even stuck using paperbased
bed boards to manage the information that is
so vital to their daily operations.

The Ladder Reaches All the Way to the Top
Many of Crothall's senior leaders took the challenge
many years ago to never become complacent in their
roles. Several of the current Vice Presidents, and even
the Executive Vice President, Tom Racobaldo, began their
careers as Unit Directors or Regional Managers. Regional
Vice President Mike Villani is an inspiration to many, as
he started as a Crothall Supervisor: "I love this company.
I have had tremendous coaches and mentors throughout
the years. I am proud to say that I have taken part in
every professional development opportunity that
Crothall has provided."
The Possibilities Are Limitless
The career path for Crothall managers is filled with choices,
thanks to the variety of roles available. One extraordinary
example of this is the fact that several former Administrative
Assistants throughout the country are now Unit Directors.
Connie Lancaster is one talented leader whose Crothall
career began as an Administrative Assistant, and now she
is a Senior Regional Manager in our Patient Transportation
division. Joe Talamo, Division Vice President, sums up his
experience by saying, "Crothall continues to
be the leader in the industry for several
reasons. One significant fact is that
Crothall attracts the very best talent in
the country because of our growth and
promotional opportunities. I have been
a beneficiary of the company's success through four
promotions in the past 9 years."

Rosa Sanchez,
Unit Director
Rosa Sanchez started eight years ago as a Housekeeper. Her
managers saw her potential and she rose through the ranks,
to Team Leader, Supervisor, Operations Manager, and now
Unit Director. Also a Training Guru, she says, "I emphasize
with my trainees how Crothall embraces our employees'
strengths, and that the door is wide open for advancement if
you put your heart into your job and work very hard." The
number of leaders who began as hourly associates and are
now Supervisors or Directors throughout the country is truly
impressive. Crothall's ability to provide the necessary technical
and leadership training changes the lives of these employees,
their families, and the staff they now supervise. "I am so
proud of these exceptional people who have not only
performed at every level, but have overcome great odds and
taken responsibility for their own professional development.
This fine list is a testament to one of our most treasured
company values: professional development," explains Bobby
Kutteh, CEO.
