From the CEO

It is hard to believe that it is already May! We are well into our 2007 fiscal year and continue to focus great energy on taking care of our people and our customers.

In this issue,we highlight how Crothall's Laundry Division is on the cutting edge of creating utilization plans that will have a positive impact on all of our laundry clients. It is this type of hard work and initiative, along with a comprehensive understanding of the industry, that has allowed us to grow into one of the largest laundry and linen providers in North America.

One of the most interesting industries Crothall supports is Continuing Care Retirement Communities, or CCRCs, many of which are on the cutting edge in creating continuum of care models that meet the needs of the baby-boom generation. Our services are such a natural fit that we wanted to share with you our experiences at Horizon House, one of the most progressive CCRCs in the nation.

Given the response to the patient throughput article that appeared in our January issue (The Sweet Spot in the Patient Throughput Model),we have decided to delve deeper into this very important issue. We will further examine the various ways in which Crothall can support improved patient throughput.

I would also like to pay tribute to a member of the Crothall team who passed away recently. Fran Colalella joined our company in 1999 and had a tremendous impact on the growth and development of our Patient Transportation Division. It was an honor to have worked beside this very talented man and he will be sorely missed. My hope is that you will enjoy this edition of Celebrations and that it will further demonstrate the spirit and passion of our company and our people.
