From the CEO

We are halfway through our 2007 fiscal year. I am pleased to report that we continue to experience double digit growth, enjoy customer retention rates in excess of 99%, and have added more than 50 new customers thus far this year. Our vertical sales efforts and joint marketing endeavors with Morrison continue to be most successful.

As I travel to visit our customers and our people, I am consistently amazed at the value we bring to our clients, regardless of size or location. We are making a difference!

One of the more exciting areas of our business has centered on the creation of our Patient Lift Teams. Lift teams have been a key element in the reduction of work-related injuries to nursing staffs, not to mention one of the main factors listed in improving nursing satisfaction scores, both internally and externally. Learn more about this important topic, as well as how Crothall has and can make a difference.

In this issue, we also tackle areas that are critical to patient outcomes, but are either invisible to the naked eye or taken for granted. The first is the alarming rise in "hospital acquired infections" or HAIs. As hospitals face the challenge of protecting patients from these hidden dangers, Crothall has proudly worked in association with our customers in following the World Health Organization's guidelines for HAI prevention.

I know that I say this all the time, but our employees are the key to our day-to-day success. It may sound sappy, but it is the truth! All you have to do is read the stories of our "Make a Difference" winners and you will be as amazed and inspired as I am by how these very special people live the mission and values of Crothall each and every day.
